Gearing up for our second week - this Thursday the 28th of September. It's officially Autumn now - the nights are longer than the days so come out and help light up the night with us!

This week we have a couple guests to welcome:

-DJ blipHOPjunkie will be joining me on the turntables.

      BIO:
blipHOPjunkie (born as Christopher Lee) has been one of the pioneers of digital mixing technology. Starting off in the early 90s as a member of the Industrial band Schnitt Acht and OG ACID HOUSE group RadioActive Goldfish then moving into mixing sets from CDs for film soundtracks, blipHOPjunkie has been advocating the use of digital mixing technologies threwOUT. Living in Los Angeles for the last 15 years and growing up in the Underground Desert Party scene, Christopher Lee has been influenced by the expanding genre of 'bliphop'. Based in the Electro /-/ Breaks domains, 'bliphop' takes it one step further into deconstruction and mind bending sounds that you only hear inside your twisted psyche. what you can expect is... You can be sure your gonna hear the unexpected.

So it's a digital mixing advocate playing alongside a vinyl aficionado! We should compliment each other nicely.

      - Also, we welcome "Closer" aka Adam Wenger who will be doing live painting on the spot. He's an incredible visual artist - so be sure to witness his genius in action.

And of course as always the chunky funky vinyl sounds of DJ Jacaranda, the fire hijinks of the Safety Third crew s_t_3 fresh home from Burningman and visual / light installations by Albie

      See you there!
      • OK folks.. Underground Thursdays is now officially off and running.... We've established ourselves as a force to be reckoned with in the Phoenix art, dance and night culture scene!! Therefore, I will no longer be reposting weekly details or bumping the Tribe threads. If you want to keep posted on whats happening and you have been relying on Tribe to get your info I invite you to join our e-mail flyer list. Each week I send one out with all the latest details on guest DJ's, artists, fire spinners, performers etc etc. Just send a note from your desired email address to list@stratiform.net

I also encourage those of you who have a MySpace profile to add Underground Thursdays as a friend. I post updates as bulletins and in the blog. www.myspace.com/stratiform

One final way to stay connected is to visit our thread at EDM Nexus Forum: forum.edmnex.us/index.php

Keep coming out folks! We do this all for you! :-)

By the way we got a pretty nifty write-up in the New Times music section... check it out: www.phoenixnewtimes.com/Issues...le.html
